Pressure cook the toor dal (pigeon pea) with 5 cups of water for 3 whistles. Boil the mixed vegetables separately. In a pot, heat 1 ½ tbsp of oil. Add curry leaves, mustard seeds, turmeric powder, asafoetida, whole kashmiri chillis and green chillies. Add the onions, tomatoes, and kashmiri chilli powder to the mix. Sauté for 3 mins. Lastly, add the CRISTA Authentic Sambhar Masala, sauté for 1 min and add the vegetables, dal, tamarind juice and salt to taste. Stir and enjoy with Idli, dosa and rice.
